Again, a couple of shots demonstrating how a small change – this time in camera position – can give a whole different feel to an image
Just 4mm difference in focal length (24mm on the portrait image and 28mm on the landscape) and a difference of approximately 75cm in camera height, coupled with a format change between portrait and landscape and slightly different treatments go to demonstrate how important small differences are in the overall feel of the finished image.
Once again, shot on the Canon 1Dx and 24-70 f2.8 lens both at 1/640 f6.3 with the trusty old Profoto B1’s – one fitted with the 3’ Octa and one with a 2 x 2’ softbox – brought in to play meant that once again, it was a relatively straightforward process of balancing the harsh, direct, mid-day light with the light illuminating the model
