Shooting a variety of subjects can really help you to understand lighting and for James Wright it’s meant he confidently tackles a variety of subjects, and get amazing results every time. Focus 90% if his time on shooting motorcycle work including motorcyclists, races and commercial work has meant he’s become a specialist in the subject and needs little time to plan his shoots.
I would say that I very much think on my feet; I’m very intense when working, When it comes to racing, the moment only happens once; it’s not like you can just tweak it. You have to understand what’s happening in the race and what’s likely to happen and pre-empt it.
